My parents in law have bought themselves a new smartphone and they asked me if I could make a sleeve for it. And this is the result. I used a very nice and clear
tutorial. I never knew how to sew pouches with flaps and now I know. The first sleeve came out just a bit too narrow, but the second one was better. I added a cm to the width of the pattern. I chose the (less beautiful) velcro closing instead of a button, because it is quicker in use.

it looks great - and i think the velcro fastening gives a simpler line to the sleeve and shows off your fabric better. i was about to go searching for a pattern to make an ipod cover for my son - now i will just use this one :)
